Lucy Drummie
Lucy is a public law solicitor based in Edinburgh. She studied the LLB in Scots with English Law at the University of Aberdeen, graduating in 2020, and completed the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh in 2021. She trained and continues to work in‑house within the Government Legal Service for Scotland, with a particular focus on environmental protection matters.
In 2025, Lucy was elected as one of the Newly Qualified Lawyer Representatives on the Law Society of Scotland's Council. Her priorities include improving visibility of in-house career routes and building on the Society’s early career resources and guidance for new solicitors.
In her spare time, she has taught undergraduate tutorials at the University of Edinburgh, regularly guest lectures in public law at universities across Scotland, and volunteers weekly as a tutor with Volunteer Tutors Organization Scotland.
